Up for auction is a severely damaged Bach 42 straight Bb tenor trombone bell section. No slide, tuning slide, or mouthpiece is included in this listing. ONLY BELL SECTION (missing tuning slide) AND CASE are included in this auction.
There is a visible hole in the bell where it is severely crinkled and bent. The straight gooseneck looks to be in very good shape and could easily be pulled for use on another horn. Tuning slide is not included, but both mounting holes look to be true and round without damage. I would date this 1985-1989 if I had to guess.
The case has exposed wood and the main latch has a broken spring to prevent it from functioning properly. Case rated fair, at best. Needs repair.
