Early 20th C. Timor Datu/ Shaman Woven Bag with Tools, Coins & Beaded Adornments

Up for auction is this interesting piece of Timor Native History.  Up for auction is this very rare and interesting 'Shaman's Bag'.  The bag is dated from the early 20th century and comes in a woven fabric with matching woven fabric bands hanging down on either side. These bands are trimmed with white beads.  Stitched to the bag is a long 40" cloth woven strap which has many tools and adornments attached to it. The items are;  a large animal's tooth, carved wooden spoon (possibly coconut shell ?), silver balls and scalloped disks (these appear to be sterling silver), a tubular beaded case with removeable top and small attached wooden spoon and 16 round shell slices with hole in the center.  In addition there is a small white bonelike or possibly another tooth attached to the bag with pearl like glass beads.  Bag measures approx. 9" wide x 7-1/2" deep.  Hanging from the sides and bottom of the bag are 42 small 1c coins which are dated from the late 1930's and up to mid 1940's. Each hangs off a short strand of rust colored glass beads. .  The coins are from the Dutch Nederlands and were obviously  added a long time after the bag was made. Inside the bag is a short three stranded 'whip' like tool which has been all beautifully bound.  It has been well used but comes in good condition without damage.
