Early black powder pole gun HANDGONNE

An intriguing very old smoke pole black powder hand held weapon.   I've been told it is an
Early black powder pole gun HANDGONNE.
The oak wood stock is about 10" long, and the cast brass cannon is about 4 5/8" long, with a huge bore of about approx. .70 cal. The wood is very old, no way to duplicate this type of age. The retaining band is held by a brass strip screwed into the wood with a wood screw, and is most likely a newer assembly. Rarely ever see these as they are in museums!
