It is also initialed ('BR') in the lower corner of the print which is not on the sample photo you see here. It has been
refurbished
several times since, changes have been made to the front of the building. For surfers and locals the store holds a lot of fond memories as a landmark in the Haleiwa town area.
It is also a little grainy as the original was shot on 35 Velvia transparency film,and  it is still a beautiful historic and artistic image.
It would make a great birthday or holiday gift for someone who may have been to the store, likes this area, or historic building images of Hawaii. They are popular reasonably priced decorations for restaurants, offices, homes, or stores where people can see them.

. An 11x14 inch frame (or larger) with a custom cut mat from a frame shop or art store is the suggested way to display this photo.
Prints are permanently mounted to the acid free backing board using  archival photo adhesive and cannot be easily removed from the backing board without damaging the photo. If you want to use a larger frame and can't figure out how to do it with the photo mounted on the backing board, contact us and we can explain how it can be done. This is recommended for best visual and artistic impact in displaying this photo, although many people are happy using a standard 8x10 inch frame and displaying the image as is.

This print was photographed by professional surfing, stock photographer, and master black and white printer Bill Romerhaus, of North Shore Photography, who has been shooting surfing, stock and scenics since 1967. He is one of a very few photographers in the world who specializes in hand printing original black & white waves and surfing. His most recent work has appeared in the new  CBS/Eye productions "Hawaii 50", Disney/Dreamworks productions "Fright Night", ABC Television pilot "My Generation", Sony Pictures "Soul Surfer", CBS/Paramount Network TV series "The Cleaner" on A&E Networks, Universal Pictures "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", and Warner Brothers  "The Big Bounce", filmed on the North Shore or on Oahu, providing vintage photos of nostalgia, and surfing for background artwork.
Bill has lived in Hawaii for over 50 years. In 1965 he shot his first surfing photo and was a contributing photographer to 'Surfer', and 'Surfing' magazines, and over 30 international surfing magazines and manufacturers, as a photojournalist for over 100 publications, advertising/stock photo agencies, and corporate clients worldwide.In 1983, he started NORTH SHORE PHOTOGRAPHY, specializing in black & white darkroom services, after attaining the status as a master black & white printer and film processor for professional clients island wide. His photos have credited him with over 200 cover shots and full page advertisements. His work has appeared in Popular Photography, Shutterbug, American Photographer, Shape, Men's Fitness, Surfing, Surfer, Honolulu, Aloha, Hawaii newspapers, Outdoor, Outside, Conde Nast Traveler, National Enquirer, CNN, Discovery & History Channels, & many others.
