The all new Riptide builds upon the success of its predecessor while maintaining its beautiful wood grain beneath a stained, clear coated finish. It delivers a round, warm sound from its humbucker and master volume/tone controls that are each completed with a knurled pattern, metal knob for improved grip. We have obsessively designed this hybrid using our vast skate product knowledge combined with our guitar building experience. To build such a beast, one must understand the curvature and properties of a skate deck along with figuring out how to manipulate it's 3/8" thickness to contain the componentry of an electric guitar. Everything from bridge to nut parallel string spacing with a flat top plain to keeping the underside flat was figured in. Grab your favorite lap slide and enjoy the sustain, but be prepared to answer a lot of questions when you are seen with this!
