Outstanding large carved trumpet spout translucent powder horn

Description

Large horn for right side carry. Aprox. 15" on bottom curve and 2 1/4" base. The horn is translucent, powder level will be clearly visible. The spout is carved to a trumpet and the rest has been relieved down to reduce weight. It has a beautiful curve and twist and will hang nicely and carry comfortably. The base plug is oil finished black walnut, pinned with wood pins and the stopper is oil finished poplar. Blued steel staple for strap attachment.  This style was very common and would fit any time period and persona. One of those times less is more. U.S. bidders only. Thanks.
