Protec Bass or Tenor Trombone Case - used, good condition

Description

This is a used Protec "International" bass trombone case. In terms of modern comparison, it's pretty much an older version of the PRO PAC contoured model sold today, with similar shape and storage capacity. The fabric exterior has some wear and tear, and a previous owner sharpied over the logo, presumably to get an all-black look, but the case itself is in great shape and EXTREMELY sturdy. It's constructed out of wood, with several layers of fabric and padding to create the interior shape. Frankly this case is built to last more than any other case I've had, it's practically indestructible, although I will be up front that it's a bit heavy compared to modern cases. The interior is undamaged outside of one issue - the interior fabric came loose at one point near the crook end, but I've fixed that up good as new. Or at least, close enough for jazz. I've cleaned up the logo as best I can to confirm the brand and model, and cleaned out the inside, including a thorough vacuum, to remove any dust and debris from years of use.
In terms of fit, this case protected a university loaner Bach 50 dual valve bass trombone for many years. It's sized to fit standard bass trombones with a  9 or 10 inch bell, but can easily fit a large bore tenor as well. The crook side of the case has an adjustable fitting that can be moved to accommodate different horn shapes. This allows you to match the fit to a specific horn, ensuring it doesn't bounce around inside the case. I've illustrated the fit with my Conn 88H tenor in some of the photos, with the adjustable support moved back to accommodate the open-wrap F attachment. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is trying to fit a small bore trombone - the slide section is sized for large bore instruments, and some small bore slides will be too skinny to fit correctly.
All the zippers work correctly, and the adjustable shoulder strap is included. The interior includes a compartment that can hold mouthpieces or small accessories, and the outside pouch is big enough to hold equipment like a trombone stand or collapsible music stand. Side and top handles are both in good shape, as are the small metal "feet" that protect the fabric when standing on the top or side. Feel free to message with any specific question!
