A huge lot of original Conant family genealogy!  Rescued from the 1870s Cumberland Maine Conant family farm of Fred O Conant, family genealogist,  this lot of close to 1,000 pieces was rescued from the house days before its demolition! The lot features hundreds of hand annotated pages from the Conant family genealogy, mostly relating to pages 450-650 of that comprehensive book published in the 1890s. Includes perhaps 100 or more genealogy forms submitted by family members across the country from around 1910-1920. Also includes early 20th century photographs, family campaign literature, articles on the 1900 America's Cup sailed by a Conant, letters sent by family members across the country detailing their lives and those of their forbears, Conant bookplates, even an 1880s albumen photograph of the Hiram Conant family of Buckfield Maine. A huge archive, weighing close to 10 pounds.
