Very fine Scottish Horn Powder Dispenser

Description

A very clean well  made Powder horn/dispenser that came from a Scottish Family that immigrated here. The top brass ball pulls up and exposes a round cut hole in it that is filled with powder and poured into the muzzle, and when the ball is pushed down , it goes into the magazine to pick up more powder for the next charge/shot. The bottom is horn with a brass riveted plate on the bottom and the interior is a cork section that press fits into the horn body. The powder charge looks like it might be for a pistol. Measures about 4.00" high, 2.160" wide and .870" thick. This fine powder horn may have come from a boxed set.
