  • Condition: This is in very good vintage pre-owned condition. Estate found. There is some normal patina throughout and some scattered marks/abrasions and dings/dongs, consistent with the age of the piece. This is a complete trombone that is tested and is 100% operational. The case as accrued some heavy wear throughout the years which tells a story of the travels this trombone has had; Such as rips/tears/discoloration and some cracked/missing interior parts.     Vintage 1930's Besson Class A "PROTOTYPE" Carl Fischer Trombone with
    Wood & Leather Case
    Here we have a vintage Besson & Co. "Prototype" Class A trombone, with wood & leather case, that we believe to be circa 1920's-30's.
    Trumpet is marked  on the bell: "CLASS A ~ 50 Medals of Honour ~ Besson & Co ~ "Prototype" ~ 198 Euston Road ~ London ~ England ~
    ☆ ~ Carl Fischer ~ 6 4th Av. N.Y. ~ Sole Agent U.States". It is also marked in a few places with the number "12470".
    Trumpet measures approximately 46" long when assembled, and has a bell diameter of approx. 7". Includes its original #12 mouthpiece.
    Includes its vintage wood and leather hard body case, which measures approx. 36" long x 10" tall x 8 1/2" wide.
