Yamaha YSL-640 medium bore professional tenor trombone with F attachment

Description

This is a Yamaha YSL-640 yellow brass tenor trombone, .525 bore, with F attachment. It was purchased new in 2014, was very lightly used for less than a year, and has been a "closet horn" ever since. I’m selling this and three other instruments because I developed “Embouchure Dystonia,” an unusual focal task-specific condition affecting the muscles that control the flow of air into the mouthpiece, so I can no longer play. I just want this horn to find a good home.
The original yellow brass crook at the end of the hand slide was replaced with a wider, nickel/silver type. It was designed and installed by Zig Kanstul while he was still alive. This addition lowered the bell ever so slightly so the thumb trigger wouldn't touch my face. It also changed the tonal color a bit and gave it a more open feel. Comes with the original hard case.
